Rawajeh Holding has announced the launch of its iconic urban development, Burj Rawajeh, to be built on King Fahd Road in Riyadh. Rising more than 220 metres (722 feet), the tower is set to become one of the capital’s most prominent modern landmarks when inaugurated in 2029.
The project represents a milestone in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance quality of life and build sustainable, modern cities, in coordination with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City and the Riyadh Region Municipality.
Drawing inspiration from the trunk of the palm tree – a symbol of generosity and authenticity – the tower’s design embodies the Salmani architectural style, which skillfully balances beauty, functionality, and local identity. The development will feature integrated residential units, service facilities, and leisure amenities, supported by smart and sustainable engineering solutions tailored to local privacy and climatic considerations.
Fahad Al-Rajhi, Chairman of Rawajeh Holding, said:
“Burj Rawajeh is not just a tower; it is an architectural story that reflects our philosophy at Rawajeh — that real estate development is the art of creating a better future for cities and their people.”
Engineer Aqeel Al-Rajhi, Rawajeh Holding CEO, described the project as “a qualitative leap that reflects Rawajeh’s vision to enrich the capital’s urban landscape through destinations that blend authenticity with a contemporary outlook.”
For his part, Abdulaziz Al-Swailem, CEO of Rawajeh Development Company, said the design integrates Najdi and Salmani concepts to add distinctive value to King Fahd Road as a vital axis of modern development.
Commenting on the design, Filippo Lodi, Director at UNStudio—the architectural firm behind the project—said Burj Rawajeh represents an urban journey that brings together the spirit of deep-rooted Najdi heritage and the ambition of modern Riyadh.
He added that the design team sought to move beyond conventional high-rise typologies by applying the Salmani style, which expresses the city’s unique human and architectural fabric. “The result is a design that combines simplicity with depth — a contemporary cultural landmark rooted in authenticity and confidently oriented toward the future.”
Rawajeh Holding continues to reinforce its pioneering role in developing transformative projects that shape the future of Saudi Arabia’s urban landscape under its slogan: “Shaping Tomorrow.”
